High-end restaurants eyeing lower-end market — 20151016

After enjoying a long-time boom, China’s high-end catering market suffered a slump since the end of 2012, as the government steps up efforts to curb excessive public spending, especially on expensive business meals.

Against this backdrop, the industry is shifting their focus on the lower-end market. High-end catering groups, including Song He Lou, King Mang, DaDong, Xiao Nan Guo, have launched more affordable chains.
