Chinese Premier Li Keqiang paid an official visit to Canada on Sept. 21-24. During the visit, he was welcomed by leaders of the Canadian government and parliament. Li held talks with his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau. The two leaders attended a signing ceremony for bilateral cooperation documents and met with journalists. Li also met with Canada’s Senate Speaker George Furey, Speaker of House of Commons Geoff Regan and Canadian Governor General David Johnston, and addressed the 6th China-Canada Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum. Accompanied by Trudeau, Li visited the famed ice hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens, and dropped ceremonial first puck for a training game.
