Hong Kong Chief Executive says government puts HK’s interests first

Hong Kong’s Chief Executive on Tuesday responded to calls by some people in the Special Administrative Region for independence. He says the government will deal with the issue in accordance with the law. Leung Chun-ying said the SAR government has always had a policy of putting Hong Kong’s people first. He listed several policies as examples, including the special duty imposed on property buyers from the mainland to protect local interests.
