Hong Kong police find homemade explosive for first time since protests began

Hong Kong police said protesters have used a remote-controlled improvised explosive. It is believed to be the first homemade bomb found since protests started months ago. The force added that violence towards officers has reached a life-threatening level. According to an internal memo seen by CNA, off-duty officers will be equipped with pepper spray to protect themselves.
