Protesters in Hong Kong marched through Causeway Bay on Sunday afternoon (Sep 15) in defiance of a police ban. The rally descended into violence when hardcore activists attacked the city’s main government complex with molotov cocktails and rocks, and police responded by firing tear gas and several rounds of water cannon. CNA’s Afifah Ariffin rounds up what happened on Sunday, and explains how protesters’ strategies have evolved over 15 weeks straight of demonstrations across the city.
