Hong Kong stocks fall 1.7% amid protests

The unrest in Hong Kong has spooked Asian markets. Hong Kong’s benchmark Hang Seng Index dropped 1.7 per cent, making it the worst performer in Asia on Jun 12. Dr Yukon Huang, Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, spoke about the impact of the extradition bill on Hong Kong’s status as a global financial hub.
