Hot air balloon crash kills at least 16 in central Texas

At least 16 people were killed on Saturday morning following a hot air balloon caught fire and crashed into a pasture near Lockhart, a city in the central part of the U.S. state of Texas. The accident is the deadliest in the U.S. history. Since 1964, the U.S. has had 69 such fatal accidents and 116 deaths. No cause of the
accident is clear so far as the investigation is underway.

When Xinhua correspondent arrived in the site, where a heavy police presence could be seen, investigators from the Balloon Federation of America(FAA), the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the Department of Public Safety of Texas and the parties concerned have been busy searching for evidences to handle the accident.
