Housemaid Filed FIR Against Vinod Kambli

A first information report (FIR) has been registered with the Bandra police against former cricketer Vinod Kambli and his wife Andrea on Saturday (August 29) by their 30-year-old female baby caretaker for alleged criminal intimidation and keeping her confined for three days at their Bandra flat when she demanded for her past 2 years pending salary and allow her to go to her house. In her complaint, Soni Sarsal said, “The couple hired me two years ago to look after their child. I was hired for a monthly payment of Rs 10,000. However Kambli and his wife did not keep up to their words and paid her salary very rarely after repeatedly I pestered them.” The matter worsened for her when on Wednesday when Kambli and his wife “denied to allow her to go her house and even turned down to pay her salaries”. Police has charged the couple under the Indian Penal Code sections 34 (common intention), 342 (wrongful confinement), 504 (insult to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, act or gesture to insult the modesty of women).
