Humanitarian aid for Aleppo waits on Turkish border as warring sides bicker

Humanitarian aid is supposed to be delivered to the Syrian city of Aleppo on Friday. But all combatants must withdraw from the contested Castillo Road that leads into the city, and monitors say that has not yet happened. Two convoys of aid have been waiting after crossing the Turkish border, as disagreements between warring sides held up deliveries. The United States and Russia have both agreed that the truce should be extended by 48 hours. They say the cessation of hostilities that began on Monday has largely held despite sporadic violence.
