Hundreds attend candlelight vigil in Cairo for EgyptAir crash victims

Hundreds have gathered in Cairo to hold a candlelight vigil for the 66 victims of EgyptAir flight MS804 that crashed in the Mediterranean Sea last week. Among the mourners were Egypt’s civil aviation minister, Sherif Fathi, French ambassador to Egypt, Andre Parant, and EgyptAir staff. They gathered at the Cairo Opera House and observed a minute’s silence. They wanted to show that Egypt is a safe and secure nation and that tourists shouldn’t resist visiting the country.
