Hundreds evacuated as Typhoon Sarika makes landfall in S China’s Hainan Province

Typhoon Sarika has made landfall in south China’s Hainan Province on Tuesday. The local meteorological agency says it landed at Hele Town of Wanning City, packing maximum winds of 162 kilometers per hour. Hainan has been on red alert. Hundreds of fishermen and construction workers have been evacuated to safe shelters.
