Hundreds march in support of police after riot in Hong Kong

Civil groups in Hong Kong have taken to the streets to condemn the New Year’s riot in the Mong Kok district and show support for the region’s police force. More than 200 demonstrators gathered at the landmark Clock Tower in southern Kowloon. The peaceful march was led by a group who call themselves the Alliance in Support of Our Police Force. It ended in the Sai Yeung Choi streets of Mong Kok, where a riot on Monday night left dozens of police officers injured.
