Hundreds protest Kerry’s visit at US embassy in Manila

Hundreds of Filipinos have marched to the US embassy in Manila to protest against the visit of US Secretary of State John Kerry, as well as the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold a US-Philippine deal which allows an increased presence of US troops in the country. Holding placards and chanting ‘US troops out now,’ the group was blocked by riot police. Protest leader Renato Reyes expressed his concern about US intentions in the region.
