Hurricane Matthew has been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone after the storm continued to move out to sea. Being the most powerful Atlantic storm since 2007, the hurricane left 17 people dead in the US, with more than 2 million homes and businesses experiencing power outages. On Sunday afternoon local time, the US National Hurricane Center has placed the center of the storm about 240 kilometers off the coast of Cape Hatteras in North Carolina.
