IAEA pays close attention on DPRK’s nuclear complex with satellite

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano, who’s on a two-day visit to Seoul, said the IAEA is now paying close attention to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s activities at its Yongbyon nuclear complex by using satellite imagery.

But the IAEA chief said he could not say anything for sure as there are no inspectors from the agency actually checking the situation in the nuclear complex.

Amano arrived in Seoul on Tuesday for consultations on nuclear safety and other related issues.

He held talks with South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung Se and other senior officials the same day.
