The International Monetary Fund has given incumbent Managing Director Christine Lagarde a second five-year term. Her new term starts on July 5th. The 60-year-old Lagarde, who is the first woman to hold the post, was the only candidate nominated. Following the decision, at a news conference in Washington DC, Lagarde talked about her priorities and the challenges that lie ahead.
