Impact of the China’s One-child Policy on population

Chinese couples will now be allowed to have two children, after a communique issued by the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Thursday announced the abandonment of the over three-decade-old One-child Policy. CCTV interviewed Dali Yang, a Political Science Professor at the University of Chicago, for an analysis of the implications of the policy over the past 35 years and what the changes could bring.
