The Supreme Court has upheld a ban restricting those under the age of 18 from participating in India’s Dahi Handi Festival “human pyramid” activity. The decision will also cap the height of the human pyramid to 20 feet. The activity is held every year in celebration of Lord Krishna’s mischievous childhood antics. People climb on top of each other to form a pyramid, in an attempt to break a curd-filled pot hanging on a rope high above the ground.
