The youngest person convicted for the infamous fatal gang-rape on a bus in New Delhi three years ago was released on Sunday from a youth correctional facility. Delhi police say the man was handed over to an NGO. Because he was 17 at the time of the crime, he received the maximum punishment of three years from the Juvenile Justice Board. He has now been given a new identity and his criminal record has been expunged.
