The Indian government has vowed to amicably reclaim a disputed and priceless diamond that’s been in British hands since the colonial era, only days after the country’s Solicitor General told the Supreme Court it would not request the gemstone’s return. The colorless 108-karat Koh-i-Noor gem is currently set in a crown once worn by the mother of reigning monarch Queen Elizabeth II – it is on display at the Tower of London.
