The Indonesian government is working to broaden the narrative on mental health, after a recent report highlighted the inappropriate treatment of the mentally ill at institutions across Central Java. People suffering from schizophrenia, depression and anxiety are commonly regarded as outcasts there, but there has been positive progress in recent years. CCTV’s Silkina Ahluwalia has more.
