China has seen an excellent international dancing competition over the weekend.
The WDC (World Dance Council) Open Dance Championship lowered its curtain on Saturday in northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
The two-day event has attracted more than 2,200 dancers from 25 counties and regions.

“My name is Lewandowska Martina and this is my partner Kostrzewa Pawel. We are both from Poland, but we represent actually Italy. We spent a lot of time in Milan, we are Italian championship this year, and also we’re semi-finals in the UK championships. We’ve been dancing together for seven years. This competition we really like, we spent here one whole day, but atmosphere is great. It is our first time in China. Yes, it is our first competition in China, we are really happy to take part in this amazing corp. we want to say big thanks to the organizers for inviting us to China. This is our first trip to Asia, and also to China. We hope next year we also in the event.”
Ballroom and Latin dancing are becoming popular in China.
It is estimated that there are about 60 million ballroom and Latin dancing amateurs in China.
