International sanctions against Iran to be lifted on Saturday

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said it’s “a good day for the world” as international sanctions on the Islamic republic will be lifted on Saturday. Zarif made the statement in Vienna, Austria, where international nuclear watchdog, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is expected to release a report confirming Iran has abided by the agreement under last year’s nuclear deal. In July, Iran agreed on a deal with China, Russia, Britain, France, Germany and the United States to limit its nuclear activities in exchange for lifting the international sanctions.
