Interview: TPP without China “a failed agreement”

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal involving 12 countries in the Asia Pacific region would be “a failed agreement” without China’s participation. That’s according to U.S. trade experts on the sidelines of the four-day ministerial meeting. Many economies, including China, have begun to study the implications of the TPP for their countries, both potential advantages of being a member in the future and also the challenges they would face in terms of meeting the high standards.
