Into the Blue: Columbia University 2016 Graduation Ceremony

More than 15,000 graduates from Columbia’s 18 schools and affiliates attended the graduation ceremony on May 18, University President Lee C. Bollinger presented the Commencement address to students, faculties and guests.

Bollinger conferred seven honorary degrees as well as the University Medal of Excellence, including United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Zhu Chen, China’s former Health Minister. Also, ten alumni medalists were honored for their service to the University.
