Iran demands compensation for US’s ‘hostile action’

Iran’s parliament has passed a bill requiring the government to demand compensation from the United States. The payment is for “material and moral damage” caused as a result of US’s policies over the last 60 years. The bill lists grievances, such as US support for a 1953 military coup in Iran, the Iraq-Iran war in the 1980’s and confiscation of Iranian funds abroad during international sanctions.
