Iran sees China major partner in post-nuclear-deal era: Rouhani

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani says his country considers China a major partner in its development, following a nuclear deal reached in the Austrian capital of Vienna last month.

Rouhani says Iran’s relations with China are at good levels and the trend of the relationship is progressive.

He says there are myriad of plans ahead in Iran in which the Chinese can participate and have a share.

Just recently, Iran reached a nuclear deal with several world powers.

Rouhani says that based on the deal, Iran’s heavy water Arak reactor should be improved and modernized with the participation of China and another one of the P5+1 countries, probably the United States.

He says China is one of the most important countries in the world and Iran is determined to develop its ties with the country as well as with other regional states.
