Iranian Transport Minister Abbas Akhoondi said on Sunday that the country plans to buy 114 aircraft from European producer Airbus. Speaking at the 2016 Iran Aviation Summit, he said Tehran would discuss the details with Airbus next week. According to Akhoondi, Iran could need as many as 500 new planes to modernize its aging passenger fleet.
