Iran unveils new attack drone

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claims it has built a new attack drone. The commander of the Guard’s aerospace division says it’s a long-range drone capable of carrying four smart bombs to strike targets with high precision. Iran reported in 2011 that it had captured an RQ-170 drone, and says it reverse-engineered the drone in 2013 to form the basis of its new unmanned aircraft. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council says this will significantly add to Iran’s power of deterrence.
