Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has presented parliament with a list of candidates for a new cabinet line-up. He’s been facing growing pressure for political reform. Abadi met with the parliament speaker and handed him a list of 14 candidates with their resumes for the new cabinet. Abadi also reduced his cabinet line-up to 16, down from 22. His list did not include the ministers of defense and interior for security reasons, because their ministries are in full combat with Islamic State militants.
