Iraq says it wants Turkish troops off its soil

Strong words from Baghdad for Ankara.
Iraq on Saturday called on Turkey to immediately pull its troops and tanks out from northern Iraq.
A statement from the Iraqi premier’s office described the presence of Turkish troops as quote, “a serious violation of Iraqi sovereignty.”
According to the statement, one armored regiment several tanks and artillery entered Iraqi territory.
The Shiite Iraqi government said it did not request or authorize the presence of Turkish armed forces.
Sunni-inclined Turkish troops are reportedly maneuvering in where Sunni extremists are battling under the name of Islamic State against Iraqi government forces.
