Iraqi security forces cut ISIL supply line

Iraqi security forces and Shia militia launched a new operation to retake a key area north of the capital, Baghdad, from Islamic State militants. The operation mainly involved cutting ISIL supply routes between western Anbar Province and the northern city of Mosul. It came as a group of suicide bombers targeted a military headquarters in western Iraq, killing eight officers on Tuesday.
