Istanbul blast: No indication that attack had targeted Germans

Turkish Interior Minister Efkan Ala on Wednesday confirmed that the suicide bomber who killed himself and 10 foreign tourists in Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet Square on Tuesday had registered with Turkish immigration authorities. Meanwhile, German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere, who visited Istanbul on Wednesday, said that there is no indication that the suicide attack specifically targeted Germans, though most of the victims were German.
