In an exclusive interview to TIMES NOW, Former Cricketer VVS Laxman broke his silence over the sacking of two IPL teams and the betting controversy. Laxman termed the incident unfortunate. “I always believe that IPL has done well to Indian cricket and I can vouch for that. Because when I see a youngster with some of the stalwarts of Indian and world cricket I think the kind of exposure and experience they are blossoming as a cricketer is invaluable,” said Laxman. Laxman added that the BCCI will work out the right plan to bring back the credibility of the IPL. “It is important for the spectators to see quality cricket. Quality cricket is the need of the hour,” added Laxman. The cricketer concluded by saying “I have always believed that BCCI has taken care of players. It is important to realize that BCCI has always done good.”
