Italy beefs up security in key areas after Brussels attacks

Italy has intensified security at key areas across the country in the wake of Tuesday’s bombings in Brussels. The Interior Ministry ordered all intelligence agencies and police to tighten controls at subway and railway stations, airports, and tourist sites. Prime Minister Matteo Renzi said security measures are being undertaken, despite Italy not being targeted by extremists.
