Jackie Chan to get lifetime achievement Oscar

Chinese movie star Jackie Chan is going to receive an honorary Oscar at this year’s Academy awards. 62-year-old Chan will be one of four people to receive the Academy’s lifetime achievement award. Chan has written, directed, produced and starred in dozens of films, including the recently released comedy “Skiptrace,” which co-stars US actor Johnny Knoxville. Chan is probably most famous for his role as a Hong Kong police detective in the “Rush Hour” film franchise. Chan will be the first Chinese national ever to receive the Academy’s lifetime achievement award.
