Indonesian police say an ISIL-linked Indonesian organization is suspected of carrying out Thursday’s deadly attacks. Meanwhile, ISIL has officially claimed responsibility through a statement. A police officer and a Canadian man, together with five attackers were killed in shootings and suicide bombings in Jakarta. Seventeen people were wounded. Two attackers were taken alive. President Joko Widodo visited the site of the explosion. He conveyed condolences for families of the victims, and ordered police to pursue the network behind the attack.
