Japan’s economy minister Akira Amari on Thursday announced to step down over graft allegation. The resignation comes after a weekly magazine, Shukan Bunshun, claimed that Amari accepted a 12 million yen, or 101,000 US dollars bribe from a construction firm. Amari is regarded as the architect of Abenomics, which is Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s strategy to pull Japan out of deflation.
