Japan to invest 30 billion US dollars in Africa by 2018

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has said Japan will pour 30 billion US dollars in investment into Africa by 2018, including 10 billion dollars in infrastructure development. Abe made his remarks at the Tokyo International Conference on African Development in Nairobi, Kenya, and is set to meet dozens of leaders from across Africa. Analysts say resource-poor Japan has long been interested in tapping Africa’s vast natural resources.
