Japanese citizens protest against new security laws

In Japan, Shinzo Abe’s government has decided to enact new security laws which will enable Japan to send its troops overseas. The new laws will come into effect from Tuesday, and will mark a major shift in Japan’s post-war security policy. Thousands of Japanese took to the streets over the weekend in many parts of the country in protest against the new security policy.
