Eighty-five members of the Japanese parliament have visited the controversial Yasukuni Shrine for the war dead. The group visit came a day after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe sent a ritual offering to the shrine. The shrine honors Japan’s war dead, including 14 convicted Class A war criminals from World War Two.
