Japanese PM meets Italian counterpart in Florence

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has started a week-long visit to Europe and Russia. Abe met with his Italian counterpart Matteo Renzi in Florence on Monday, and was guided around various artworks in the birthplace of the Renaissance. Abe said prior to his departure that he wanted to hold candid discussions with the leaders of the Group of Seven, and lay the groundwork for substantial talks at the G7 Summit which will be held in Japan later this month.
