Japanese PM Shinzo Abe reshuffled his cabinet on Wednesday, retaining almost half of his cabinet members in their current posts. Tomomi Inada, the head of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party’s Policy Research Council, will take on the role of defense minister. Inada’s appointment could prove controversial for China and South Korea, due to her conservative views on Japan’s wartime history.
