Would-be presidential assassin John Hinkley Jr. has been released 35 years after he shot former President Ronald Reagan. The attack was prompted by his obsession with the actress Jodie Foster. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity in 1982 and diagnosed with depression and psychosis. After being released from the Washington psychiatric hospital, he will live with his mother in Virginia. Dozens of conditions are attached to the terms of his release.
