Joyride BREAKS – 1 Dead At Chennai’s Kishkinta Amusement Park

One person was killed and 10 others were injured after a newly-installed joyride broke during trial run at an amusement park in Tambaram on Wednesday (May 11). The victims were employees of Kishkinta Theme Park. Police identified the man who did as Manikandan, 20, of Nallur, near Somangalam, 15 km from Tambaram. The injured were admitted to Deepam Hospital, West Tambaram. They told police that the amusement park authorities asked temporary workers employed in the stalls and other kiosks to go for a trial ride in the musical spinning wheel which that moves up and down as it goes around. Police said the first two rides were uneventful, but on the third, a spinning wheel broke into three pieces, hurling those on the ride to the ground.
