Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy on Tuesday (October 27) slammed the Delhi Police after the cops raided the Kerala House in the national capital, follwoing a complaint of cow meat allegedly being served there. Chandy said that the police should have shown “restraint”, as Kerala Bhawan was a “government establishment”, not a “private hotel”. Meanwhile, members of the Kerala Bhawan have sought police protection after the incident. A PCR call complaining about beef curry being served at Kerala House near Jantar Mantar in New Delhi threw police into a tizzy yesterday, and a team had to be sent there to avert any “untoward incident”. The call was received by the police control room around 4.15 PM, and the caller, claiming to be from a fring eright-wing group, told the police that beef was being served at Kerala House, said a senior official.
