Kidnapped newborn recovered in mass police operation in NE China

A kidnapped newborn was reunited with his parents in Huanan County of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, following a successful rescue operation involving some 300 police officers. The baby boy was only two days old when abducted on Sunday by a female suspect, who walked into the maternity ward at a hospital in the county and took him away. Police tracked the suspect throughout the county, with the help of surveillance camera footage. After seven hours of intensive manhunt, police officers cordoned off a residential area and stormed a storage room to save the baby.
