The vice chairman of the Kuomintang Party also voiced his support to cross-strait exchange.
Jason Hu, vice chairman of the Kuomintang Party said his party is fully committed to maintaining peace across the Taiwan Strait and to supporting continued cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation.
Hu made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the eighth Straits Forum in Xiamen.
He pointed out that the 1992 Consensus is an important foundation for maintaining peace across the Strait, and helps Taiwan without doing any harm.
