Kremlin: New US sanctions not consistent with talks over cooperation

The Russian government has criticized new sanctions imposed by the US on Russia. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the expanded sanctions are not consistent with talks over possible cooperation between Russia and the US in other areas. Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Barack Obama met during the G20 Summit in China earlier this week. But on Wednesday, the US Bureau of Industry and Security added 11 more Russian companies to a blacklist over their alleged links to the Ukrainian conflict. The European Union and the United States imposed economic sanctions on Russia in 2014 following the conflict.
