The Lunar New Year will be celebrated across China and by overseas Chinese in other parts of the world. In Kuala Lumpur, the whole city has been dressed up for the big holiday, with nearly a quarter of Malaysia’s population having emigrated from China. Local markets are loaded with New Year goodies and monkey statues and dolls are everywhere.
